The blindness sector is blessed with a rich pool of artists, singers, crafters, theatre performers and poets. Despite their enormous talents, they often experience stigma and discrimination.
What these artists really need is a common platform to showcase their talents to the world.
And that’s just what the SANCB’s planning. Efforts have kicked off to raise funds to stage a three-day national event for visually impaired creative people during Heritage Week 2020.
This will not only benefit visually impaired persons; but will give hope to youth and women who face limited opportunities but have huge talent.
