EDITORIAL

               Dear Friends and Supporters,

               During March, we commemorated World Glaucoma Day, International
               Women’s Day and Human Rights Day. Although information on these
               celebrations was included on social media platforms, this month’s
               newsletter includes two feature articles that spotlight glaucoma and
               human rights. We are confident that you would find these articles of great
               interest.
               As always, our Technology Byte section has valuable information that
               would assist blind and partially sighted persons. This month, we focus on:
               The Orbit Reader 20 Plus – Braille Display, Book Reader and Notetaker;
               The Group Transcribe iOS app; and
               VOICE COMMANDS on the Android talkback screen reader to improve
               accessibility.
               In addition, read the snippets of information on World Optometry Day
               celebrated on 23 March, and Optima College’s success in extending its
               training to the North-West.

               In conclusion, please provide us with feedback on the information
               included in the newsletter.
               We would love to hear from you.
